Our Worship

Our worship is rooted in the Presbyterian tradition, offering a rhythm of reflection and community. Music plays a central role at Kelvin West Church, with our choir leading each Sunday morning service. Every gathering begins with a choral introit, followed by hymns sung in harmony with the congregation and a thoughtfully chosen anthem that reflects the Church’s liturgical calendar—from Advent through Easter and Pentecost. But our welcome extends far beyond Sunday.

We aim to be a place of friendship, faith, and belonging for all people, wherever you are on your journey. Worship is not confined to a single day—it flows into how we live, serve, and grow together throughout the week.

Young Church

Children and Young People are a very important part of the Kelvin West Church family and we welcome all children and young people on a Sunday both from Primary and Secondary School, whether regular attenders or those visiting occasionally. We feel it is important for them to share worship with the whole congregation, so they stay with their families for the first part of the service.

We use material geared to their levels of understanding, to Introduce them to the life of Jesus and his teachings, how God works through him, and also some Old Testament stories. We want them to enjoy their time with us, so we also have fun playing a range of board games too.

A particular highlight this year was the Nativity service, with a re-telling of the Christmas story, which overcame all language barriers, and involved the children and also their parents! We are particularly grateful to the parents for their support throughout the year.

Sharing Jesus with the Next Generation.
