Hall Lets

Are you interested in hiring our halls?

In addition to our Church, Kelvin West has halls and rooms available to let for one off or regular bookings. We welcome individuals and groups from the local area and beyond to use our spaces for community projects such as music groups and choirs, language classes and dancing schools, yoga practice, reading groups and workshops.

We are unable to provide space for private functions or children's parties and alcoholic drinks are not permitted.

Our beautiful church, the Sanctuary, with its wrap around upper gallery, is a wonderful place for worship. Its acoustics make it perfect for music and choral performances as well as prize givings, lectures and presentations.

It has a Steinway Model O grand piano, an AV deck system with retractable screen and options to record and live stream.

Not generally available on Sundays.

The Sanctuary

The largest of our halls and with a double-height ceiling, Woodlands Hall is a great space to host film screenings and presentations, dancing, sports activity, smaller concerts, large group gatherings and meetings of around 60 people seated. Woodlands is on the ground floor.

It has an Albert Fahr grand piano, a built in speaker system and one of our portable projectors can be used for films and presentations.

Woodlands

Also located on the ground floor, the Library is a smaller space compared to Woodlands, making it perfect for more intimate gatherings. It is well suited for meetings, dance classes, yoga sessions, and singing groups, comfortably accommodating around 30 people seated. Additionally, the room features an Eterna upright piano, providing excellent musical support for various activities.

The Library

Between Woodlands Hall and the Library is the Servery, a compact kitchenette. It can be accessed from both rooms, and has additional doors opening directly into Woodlands and a hatch which opens to the Library. Equipped with hot water dispenser, catering size coffee percolator, microwave, dishwasher and small fridge, it can be used to prepare hot and cold beverages (non alcoholic only) and served prepared snacks.

The Servery

Situated on the first floor the Mitchell Room is home to piano and language lessons as well as group meetings of 15 to 20 seated. It has a Danemann upright piano.

Please note the Mitchell and Lounge can only be accessed via stairs from the ground floor.

The Lounge

Also on the first floor and adjacent to the Mitchell Room, the Lounge is a cosy space for small discussion or reading groups of up to ten..

Please note the Mitchell and Lounge can only be accessed via stairs from the ground floor.

Users of our spaces are welcome to access our Wifi network, details of which will be given on arrival.
